From Wedding Bells to Class Bells

Just over three weeks ago, Caitlin and I finally said, "I do" and began our adventure together! It was a beautiful wedding and a joy to be surrounded by many of our friends and family. After our wedding, we spent a week at Natural Bridge State Park in Kentucky followed by another week in Connecticut visiting with both sets of Caitlin's grandparents, her Aunt and Uncle, and her childhood friends.

After we traversed the twenty hour drive back to Union, Missouri, we spent a day with my parents and then, with a loaded up trailer and car, once again hit the road this time to Roach, Missouri to begin our training with New Tribes Mission here at the Missionary Training Center. Needless to say, this is why our update is a tad bit late.

We arrived at the Missionary Training Center Friday afternoon and, as of last night, we have finally settled in and have unpacked all of Caitlin's earthly belongings after just five days of being in our new home. Apart from a multitude of books that I was unable to part ways with and my apparent 40 million pairs of socks, it has been quite an adventure all on its own in just the stage of unpacking. However, our new home has come together quite speedily as we prepare ourselves for these next two years in training.

In just a matter of days, this coming Saturday to be exact, we will begin our first day of orientation.

Words in a newsletter cannot express the joy and excitement we are feeling as everything is about to kick off at extraordinary speeds!

The first three weeks are designated just for orientation during which time we will gain an overview of all that the program entails. We will be informed and given a brief summary of the classes, what they are, what they include, why they are needed, etc.

Caitlin and I will update you all in next month's newsletter concerning the program as more information is given to us.

We were greatly blessed by so many of you at our wedding and we would like to thank you for your encouragement and support. It really meant a lot to us! If you would like to learn more about supporting us, we invite you to check out our Support tab located at the top of this page.
