An Opportunity to Speak

I wanted to send out a quick prayer request. Tomorrow, I will have the opportunity to speak for ten minutes during the worship session at First Baptist Church of Washington, MO about the calling that God has placed upon our hearts. I know that God has opened this door and that He is leading the way, but I am having a lot of fears well up inside.

The church just finished VBS this past week and apparently there was a lot of emphasis upon foreign missions and reaching the world for Christ.

It is exciting to see how the LORD set this up specifically for the Sunday after, but I haven't had a whole lot of practice in public speaking, so you can imagine how nervous I am feeling. I am asking for your prayers as I will be speaking tomorrow during the 10:30 service. Please pray that God will rest His Spirit down upon me, His spirit of wisdom and understanding, counsel and strength, knowledge and the fear of the LORD. - Isaiah 11:2

As I began reading through the book of Exodus this morning, I was reminded of what God Almighty told His servant Moses when he made a similar excuse in Ex. 4:10-12.
Then Moses said to the LORD, "Please, Lord, I have never been eloquent, neither recently or in time past, nor since you have spoken to Your servant; for I am slow of speech and slow of tongue." The LORD said to him, "Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes him mute or deaf, or seeing or blind? Is it not I, the LORD? Now then go, and I, even I, will be with your mouth, and teach you what you are to say."
Please pray that God would be glorified in being with my mouth and teaching me what to say. For the thing that I desire most is to be covered in the prayers of the saints. Remember me as you approach the throne of God, and please pray that just as He gave us this opportunity, He would also empower me to speak clearly and effectively.

Thank you.

June's Joys

The smiles. The cheers. The excitement. The relief. The bittersweet moment as tears of joy are shed in the realization that a chapter of life has closed and a new journey now awaits. These are just some of the feelings that were felt by many as the Lord dispersed yet another graduating class from New Tribes Bible Institute around the world just as dandelion seeds are scattered by the wind.

A couple of weeks ago, sixty of our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ were congratulated as they each walked across the stage in front of countless individuals in order to receive their diploma from New Tribes Bible Institute after having successfully completed the two-year program. As we witnessed this celebration, we were reminded of our own graduation just six months ago.

At that time in December, all we could think about was the joy we felt in being able to witness firsthand what God could do in a person's life in just two short years. When our diplomas were finally placed in our anxiously waiting hands we were struck by the fact that all our work, all our time, all the sleepless nights, all the friendships formed, all the laughter shared and all the tears shed were all represented in this one sheet of paper. Diplomas are often viewed as a sign of completion but far from that, ours we saw as a symbol of commission. We saw that this was but a step toward our desire in being used by the Lord to take His Word to those isolated in Papua New Guinea who have never heard the Good News.

A few years from now Caitlin and I will be living among an unreached people group in Papua New Guinea and beginning to learn both their language and culture. After much learning, studying and language blunders, we will begin teaching them chronologically through the Scriptures with the hope that they will come to KNOW who God is and what He has done for them. Yes, we were excited for our friends and our joy was made full in seeing each one of them walking with the Lord. But how much more excited will we be when we see the first national in our tribe come to know the Jesus as their Savior?! I can only imagine how Caitlin and I and all of our ministry partners will feel on that day as we see what God has accomplished through all of us working together as the body of Christ!

We want to send a special thanks to all of those who have faithfully decided to partner with us in taking the Gospel of Christ to those who have never heard.

If you would like to partner with us as well, we invite you to prayerfully consider supporting us through regular monthly support or a one-time gift. When designating which missionary you are supporting, indicate: Cameron Neace Account #900458
